NEW YORK & SEOUL – (Business Wire) – TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of language services and translation-related technologies, today announced that it has been retained by Korean Air to localize its website, www.koreanair.com, into nine languages. The agreement includes language services as well as TransPerfect’s GlobalLink globalization management technology.
Serving 124 cities in 43 countries, Korean Air is a global airline and the flag carrier for South Korea. With a worldwide footprint, Korean Air’s priority is to offer top-quality online content to customers in the languages most common to the passengers throughout its network, which include Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
To facilitate the creation and deployment of multilingual content, Korean Air has elected to use TransPerfect’s GlobalLink Project Director, the hub of the GlobalLink globalization management system. Website translations, terminology management, and in-country review will be managed through GlobalLink to automate key processes and improve overall language quality and consistency.
“With such a broad and diverse customer base, Korean Air knew the importance of having high-quality multilingual content available online for its global customers,” said TransPerfect CEO Liz Elting. “Playing a role in their growth on the global scene is rewarding for us, and we look forward to continuing to help them achieve their international goals."
