NOW-NYC Honors Liz Elting at its 2016 Women of Power & Influence Awards at Annual Gala

National Organization of Women Recognizes TransPerfect CEO Liz Elting as Pioneering Role Model

NEW YORK – This Wednesday, June 22nd, Liz Elting, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TransPerfect, will be honored by the National Organization of Women at its annual gala. NOW-NYC’s annual gala honors exemplary women who have boldly forged their way to the top of their industries, breaking barriers along the way, and earning the title of pioneer and role model. Each year, NOW gathers to celebrate extraordinary women working in business, finance, entrepreneurship, technology, law, and government. Receiving a 2016 Women of Power & Influence Award, Liz is honored to be recognized by NOW-NYC alongside a host of remarkable women that truly exemplify power and influence.

Each of NOW’s honorees shares a commitment to advancing women’s opportunities, so that individual women can fulfill their potential and women collectively can advance professionally, economically, and socially. Upon receiving this distinguished award, Elting will join a growing network of award alumnae, including over 100 exemplary business leaders, financiers, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

Discussing this incredibly meaningful recognition, Elting said, “I want to sincerely thank the hardworking members of NOW for their unwavering dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of women. Together, we send the message that power and influence are qualities to be celebrated in women. If there is one thing I hope to show other women, it’s that your ideas matter, your voice deserves to be heard, and the world needs your leadership. Embrace your power, and never stop fighting for your right to fulfill your unique potential.”

Held in Tribeca on June 22nd, all of the proceeds from NOW-NYC’s annual dinner gala will go to support NOW-NYC and Women’s Justice NOW in the critical work of advocating for and improving the lives of New York women and girls (including providing legal help and referrals to women in need).
